With the aim of creating homogenous groups of students who have a similar level of English or French, you will take a placement test to distinguish your language competencies in grammar, reading comprehension and verbal communication.
Even if you are able to speak, you will most probably be placed in a level that corresponds rather to your grammar skills since a weakness in grammar will inevitably affect the quality of your speech. Similarly, if you are better at grammar than you are speaking, you will be placed at the level that corresponds to your verbal skills since this skill will become very important throughout your life.
If, for some reason or other, you don't agree with your placement level, during the first three days, you can ask your teacher to change levels. Your teacher will then do a more in-depth evaluation of your competencies and will make his recommendations to the school coordinator.
The placement test for our intensive courses takes place one day before the course starts. A placement test for our part-time courses can be administered any time during business hours or by appointment.
